I can't help but notice to my great excitement that a few new films are starting to be added to the Prelinger Archives. This is great! This is what we've all been waiting for over eight months! I can't wait to see what gems will be uploaded in the coming weeks. I'd like to express my great appreciation to everybody involved. Thanks guys.

Yup, very exciting to see these showing up. Since we've combined the Internet Archive uploads and our own "tapelessness" project into one single workflow, it'll be a bit of a trickle for awhile, but they'll keep trickling in until we reach 2500 titles total.

You'll notice we put titles bearing our name and URL at the start and end of each file. That's in the hope that the films will still be credited to us in some way as they percolate across the net, to YouTube and elsewhere. Lots of people suggested we watermark them, but that would make the files too hard to reuse, and we like reuse.

I'm glad you decided not to watermark and head/tail the films instead. Thanks for the new additions! I'll start in on reviews and get a temporary lead on Spuzz :P

I've been checking the archive almost daily (!) and to my surprise the Middletons were not on the top of the list!

I'm very happy to see films coming in, thanks Rick, Skip and all the folks working with you guys.

Is MPEG4 the only format you will be offering? I've been used to MPEG2, but as long as the compression and frame size is good than BRING 'EM ON!
